A Song of Ice and Fire Lannister Captain

Lannister Captain here! Hold your ground and no panic! I did got my Lannister Captain painted a while back, when I was doing the Lannister Guardmen and troops. The Lannister Captain was painted to the similar colour scheme to the Lannister Guardmen.

I wanted to give the Lannister Captain a different basing from the Lannister Guardmen troop. Added a partial green stuff ground texture (same method as I did with my NCUs, see here) to the side and filled with the usual white pumice on the other side. The Lannister Captain is like standing on the textured ground while the rest of the Guardmen are all on the soil area.

One of the Lannister Captain I made a silly mistake. As one of the sword was slightly bend, I wanted to straighten it. Used a hair dryer to soften it, but I held it too long under under the hot air blast, and the the sword got bent out of shape. Managed to salvage it and form it with a curve edge on the front of the sword. I guess, this Captain had many battles and this sword probably saved his life all the way, though its damaged, but he’s still using it to hold the line… haha.

On the other hand, there’s the new Lannister Attachment box with the newer design Captain, Probably I can retire this one with the damaged sword, and have the new one lead the Guardmen.. haha.

And… lastly, Merry Christmas!

Just a typical guy who has made painting miniatures part of his daily routine life. As long as I have time in my hands, I will paint. Even with few minutes to spare at times, I will still pick up my brushes and paint a little. Nothing beats the satisfaction when you have your miniatures all done and and ready for battle!
