The Hoarding Stage

I guess for those of us who are into this miniature hobby, maybe there will come a time where you will reach this stage of the hobby. What’s the stage… The Hoarding Stage.

Watching this video definitely caused quite a few flashes in my brain as to where are some of the miniatures I have gotten long ago. I guess they are all in the pile and pile of boxes in my painting shop… ha ha. But of recent years, I have stopped buying miniatures. Usually I will tell myself, when I wanna start the project then I buy, the boxes of miniatures will always be at the store. I am just storing it at the store, will get it only when I am ready. However, if its a limited edition or limited release, temptation comes again… ha ha

What Atom mentioned as to how the hoard came about, its definitely true for all collectors and gamer out there. You have a plan or a good idea for a conversion project, and this box of miniature looks perfect. Once its purchased, I guess it depends on how motivated one is, either it will be chucked on the shelf or… maybe it might be painted and deployed.

One point he did mentioned which I liked and agreed though, if one fine day, we fail our armour saves and goes down, what will happen to our boxes and boxes of hoard? This point did had me pondering a while…

Guess it’s time to do some spring cleaning and see what can clear off the shelves! If you are at this hoarding stage of the hobby too, maybe its time to do some spring cleaning as well?… Cheers!

Just a typical guy who has made painting miniatures part of his daily routine life. As long as I have time in my hands, I will paint. Even with few minutes to spare at times, I will still pick up my brushes and paint a little. Nothing beats the satisfaction when you have your miniatures all done and and ready for battle!
