Blood Angels Death Company and Chaplain

After the Space Marines Ultramarines project, next lot of projects that came along was the Blood Angels, the Blood Angel Death Company. Black armour is another challenging colour scheme to work on. The usual impression for painting black colour for most starters, is usually an easy colour to manage. In reality, its one of the tough and challenging colour choice.

For the Blood Angel Death Company, the edges of the Space Marines Armour were carefully blended with Citadel Administratum Grey and Black. Thereafter the the edges were all edged out with a light mix Citadel Skull White and Midnight Blue (as requested by Client). With the highlights and blends, this made the black armour more outstanding with depth.

The thing about painting Blood Angels is that each Space Marine Blood Angels, whether its normal marines or the Death Company, they are all full of accessories all over. Nice to look at and be amazed with all the detailed accessories, but painting them can be tedious and patience is definitely needed.

The normal Marines are already full of details and accessories, talk about the characters. The Terminator Chaplain, he is filled with accessories all over his armour. Definitely a tedious task to get the accessories live with colours.

Well, though there were full of details and accessories to be painted, but once they are painted, these Marines simply looked amazing with life… Cheers!
