Other Brand Miniatures, Contest and Warrior Priest

This year I thought I try to be a little bit active in the painting competition arena. All these years in miniature painting I am into only Games Workshop miniatures, reason being I just wanna stay focused in the area of collecting. Its just one of my rules in collecting, check out my earlier post. On a second look recent months, or rather last year, some of the other makes and brand of miniatures are very exciting and tempting as well to collect. With contest, usually the organizer will focus on their own brands, guess to participate one will need to get the miniatures, right?

Avatar of War is organizing the painting contest 2011. This leaves me with my first purchase of other make of miniatures besides GW’s. I ordered the Avatar of War miniature, the Warrior priest, and my parcel came knocking on my door on Monday. I figured that among the Avatar of War miniature range, the Warrior Priest I can still field him in my Empire and send him to war even after the contest. With the contest miniature delivered, this means, double pace for my painting, as contest has deadlines. The plan is… Dark Eldar should be done by this weekend, then I would start my Grey Knights (anticipating my grey knights to reach next week) and the Warrior Priest concurrently. Will be a busy April painting month. Cheers!

40k Orks BossWelcome to The Painting Shop
Just a typical guy who has made painting miniatures part of his daily routine life. As long as I have time in my hands, I will paint. Even with few minutes to spare at times, I will still pick up my brushes and paint a little. Nothing beats the satisfaction when you have your miniatures all done and and ready for battle!
