Vampire Counts Black Coach

The air feels chill, aura of death creeps down the spine… Vampire Counts Black Coach!

Yes… finally got my Vampire Counts Black Coach all done. Nightmares and Wraith filled the journey, haha. I did not use the skeletons nightmares from Vampire Counts Black Coach box, instead, I took 2 horses from the New Empire Pistoliers and converted them to nightmares with partial bones visible. See my earlier post on the conversion here.

Nesbet did suggested adding flames to the horses feet but by then I already had them based coated and started painting a bit ready. Did not wanna restart, thought I paint the flames at the horses feet instead. Managed to find some reference and inspirations for the nightmare horses from Xbox 360 games Darksiders. Though the flames are not as 3 dimensional as if its sculpted, the painted version I am still happy with it…

After looking at the completed Black Coach, I still like my Black Coach nightmares better as compared to the original skeletons ones. The skeleton ones were kind of silly looking I felt for such an amazing fearing causing black coach. With the nightmares, now I drive more fear into the mortals… haha.

Behold… mortals… haha. Cheers!

  1. Thanks… So far in the Vampire Counts miniature range, Mannfred von Carstein’s Nightmare is the nicest nightmare horse, and along with the Blood Knight’s. The rest of the skeletal steeds in the miniature range are all so silly looking… Cheers!

Just a typical guy who has made painting miniatures part of his daily routine life. As long as I have time in my hands, I will paint. Even with few minutes to spare at times, I will still pick up my brushes and paint a little. Nothing beats the satisfaction when you have your miniatures all done and and ready for battle!
