Where the world of colours bring Miniatures to life!

For every brush stroke,

it’s a stroke of passion and soul...

I can smell blood, Vampire Counts Lord is here

Finally…, I smell blood… fresh BLOOD… ! Argghh….

Finally got my Warhammer Vampire Counts Lord all done up, and ready to reap some blood out there. Its the Vlad von Carstein miniature. I will use him to represent the Vampire Counts Lord in a typical Warhammer Vampire Counts army battle game.

The scale armour is painted in Citadel Tin Bitz, blended and highlighted with Shining Gold and Mithril Silver. The shoulder, waist, elbow and knee armour portion is painted in Citadel Shinning Gold, washed with Gryphonne Sepia then highlighted with Mithril Silver.

The cape, I did a blend from Citadel Chaos black to Red Gore to Blood Red. Highlighted the high areas with mix of Skull white and blend.

The long sword the Vampire Counts Lord is holding is the Frostblade. I imagine it to be sort of icy cold steel and frozen kind of feel. Painted the blade with Citadel Boltgun Metal first. Wash the blade with a diluted wash of Citadel Midnight Blue. Once dried, dry brush with a mix of Citadel Skull White and Midnight Blue. Next follow by a dry brush of Citadel Skull White, focusing on the edges of the blade.

The skin and face tone for the Vampire Lord I started with a base of Citadel Scorched Brown. Next, highlight and blend the high areas with a mix of Citadel Skull White and Scorched Brown. Finally highlight and blend Citadel Skull White to the mix of Citadel Skull White and Scorched Brown. Finish off with some small dab of highlight dry brush with Citadel Skull White on the high areas.

So much in the Vampire hype, finally my army has a Vampire Counts Lord ready, haha. I am still left with some more to complete my Vampire Counts army. Mainly, about 10 more skeletons, black coach, some ghost and wraiths and blood knights. Think I will leave the blood knights to last.

Not much days left in 2010, still trying hard to hit my deadline… haha. Hopefully I don’t get distracted, my Dark Eldar codex keep looking at me, and my Grey Knights Terminator lying on my desk seems to me calling onto me… haha. Cheers!

Just a typical guy who has made painting miniatures part of his daily routine life. As long as I have time in my hands, I will paint. Even with few minutes to spare at times, I will still pick up my brushes and paint a little. Nothing beats the satisfaction when you have your miniatures all done and and ready for battle!
