Where the world of colours bring Miniatures to life!

For every brush stroke,

it’s a stroke of passion and soul...

My Dark Eldar thoughts, its tainting me…

Its been a few days already since the news of Dark Eldar incoming, along with the awesome pictures previewed. And I have been slowly growing to like them more, haha, oh no, I have tainted thoughts already, better not let the Inquisition find out… haha.

Games Workshop’s site have been releasing bits and bits of information about the Dark Eldar. The concept sketches looked great and definitely is luring me into temptation. There is also a video teaser on the Games Workshop site, see the teaser below…

The more I looked at the Dark Eldar, I am getting more and more fascinated with it. All my years of collecting miniatures, I have always been into the good guys. Of recent years, I have been lured to the dark side, haha. Well, Vampire Count was my first lured into the realm of darkness. For 40k, I have always been into the Inqusition, and I am still into the Inquisiton. Maybe to strike a balance, for a 40k army, I should start a dark side army, haha. Then there possible another choice to choose though, rumours of necron is also floating around. I will see how it goes and where the temptation takes me.

The Dark Eldar gives me a very pirate mercenary kind of feel. I guess its still the Raiders, a fleet of them, will sure feel very piracy… cool isn’t it. From the preview pictures of the Dark Eldar miniatures, the miniatures looked great, but I though the level of detailing and exaggeration could have been a little more. Since they are like more to evil, I thought a better detail level of some random accessories detailing around them would bring out the Evilness more, just a thought…

Then the thought of painting the Dark Eldar, wow, another excitement. I guess the primary colour of the Dark Eldar will be black, I know painting black armour will be a tough chore, but the thought of painting highlighting the edges of the armour, adding a glow effect, wow proves to be an exciting thought.

Arrghh… too many things to collect though, then Grey Knights are also around the corner. Wow, I have to make a decision, haha. The other concern would the investment in gold coins, need to save up though, haha. Well, one thing for sure, I am getting the codex definitely. Then I see how and where the temptation leads me… For now… I will just enjoy the temptation, and try not to be so distracted and get my horde unit of swordmen and skeletons done.

Faith in the Emperor!

Just a typical guy who has made painting miniatures part of his daily routine life. As long as I have time in my hands, I will paint. Even with few minutes to spare at times, I will still pick up my brushes and paint a little. Nothing beats the satisfaction when you have your miniatures all done and and ready for battle!
